CONTENT THIS YEAR
We rotate each year between two courses, the Dynamics for Living the Spiritual Exercises and Practices and Guidelines for Living the Spiritual Exercises.  Beginning in September 2026 we will be exploring the Practices and Guidelines for Living the Spiritual Exercises. The Practices and Guidelines for Living the Spiritual Exercises course explores the guidelines, dispositions and practices Ignatius documented within the text of the Spiritual Exercises aimed at opening a person to this transforming experience.

We will probe into prayer practices, dispositions for being more present to God in our prayer and daily life, and guidelines for discerning interior movements of the soul. Much of our time will be focused on Ignatius’ Rules for the Discernment of Spirits which are a set of guidelines to help faithful persons progress in their relationship with God. These guidelines are essential to all persons desiring to follow Christ and especially helpful for persons making the Spiritual Exercises to help them continue to say ‘Yes’ to Christ’s invitation during the retreat and throughout their lives.

WHEN DOES THE PROGRAM BEGIN?
The Practices and Guidelines for Living the Spiritual Exercises class begins on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 8:30 AM. Classes are three hours in length.
