Ignatian Book Clubs

Our Ignatian Book Clubs are for those interested in making the Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life, have made the Spiritual Exercises or, desire to enhance their spiritual life by reading and discussing a variety of Ignatian books. Our groups meet frequently reading on average 4-5 books a year based on group member recommendations. We're informal and the conversation is always spirited so, join us!

There are currently two Ignatian Book Clubs running:

THE BREAKFAST CLUB
St. Francis Xavier Church Romero Room (currently meeting virtually)
Meets every other Wednesday, 8-9am

The Breakfast Club is the first Ignatian Book Club. It began as a response to a desire to build community for those who have completed the Spiritual Exercises. It is also the first follow up program for people who have made the Exercises. Prayer Companions followed several years later.

The Breakfast Club reads and discusses a book of the group’s choosing in the light of our shared Ignatian background.

IGNATIAN SPIRITUALITY BOOK CLUB
Overland Park (in-person with Zoom option)
Third Friday of each month 10am-noon

Our desire is to learn more about Ignatian Spirituality, ourselves, and one another; to engage in fellowship and build community in the context of Ignatian values and teachings. We do this through reading books that are about or influenced by Ignatius, and other books and articles written by Ignatian scholars and followers of Ignatius today. Our discussions are thought provoking, heart-felt, enriching and inspired by our Triune God.
